Updated PAL

This area of the PAL website provides information and resources for the updated PAL assessment that will be operational beginning in Fall 2025. PAL is being updated to incorporate anti-racist leadership competencies that were added to the Guidelines for the Preparation of Administrative Leaders in 2021 .

A pilot test of PAL Task 1 and PAL Task 2 was conducted in Fall 2024. The pilot test results have been used to finalize revisions to the PAL assessment.

The resources provided here are for informational purposes only. They should NOT be used to complete PAL tasks prior to Fall 2025.

Additional information about the updated PAL assessment will be provided later this year.

Updated PAL Handbook

The updated PAL handbook for 2025–2026 will be posted to the website when it becomes available.
